Welcome to our COVID-19 information page.
This page is dedicated to letting you know how we intend to keep our staff and customers safe through the coming months. It will not be long before you are travelling with us again, either to work, school, college, or for a much-awaited day out.
Now that we are ready to transport passengers, listed below are measures we have taken based on Government guidelines, the health and safety of our customers and staff will always been our number one priority. We have been working hard to make sure you will be as safe as ever when you travel with us. The essential travel information here will help you to maximise your safety and ensure you know what to expect when travelling with us.
Passengers on public transport services are required to wear a face covering when travelling unless they are exempt. We have also applied this policy to our ‘home to school’ and ‘private hire’ contracts. If you feel that you may be exempt from wearing a face covering please contact our office where each case will be considered independently.
All our employees are issued with face masks and disposable gloves and despite being exempt from wearing them while driving, we have made the wearing of masks a condition when in close contact with passengers.
Health screening and temperature checks
All employees are screened and temperature checked prior to beginning their shift. Any employee with a registered temperature above 37.8 degrees will be sent home to contact NHS (111).
Regular surface cleaning
Our buses, coaches and offices are cleaned and disinfected daily with high-grade products, tested and effective against coronavirus.
All buses and coaches have hand sanitiser units at the passenger entrance door. Please sanitise your hands before boarding the vehicle. All hand sanitiser is medical-grade, alcohol-based sanitiser effective against coronavirus.
Boarding the coach
Please be patient when boarding the bus or coach, leaving a 2 metre distance between yourself and other passengers, including while waiting at stops. Once on-board please travel to the back of the coach and take available seats loading from the back to the front.
Where to sit
You may find some seats are ‘out of service’ due to their proximity to the driver, please do not attempt to use these seats. The Department of Education announced on the 2nd July 2020 that all ‘closed’ home to school services can operate at 100% capacity. Current advice is that passengers can sit one per pair of seats wearing face coverings, with those from the same household (or bubble) sitting together.
Please follow the signs and instructions of our drivers while on-board.
